As an exponent of the high peaks, lagoon and extensive pine and oak forests we will come across te mountain ranges of Neila and La Demanda. Lands ruled by the traditions and activities of the community which endure throughout time.

We wil leave the Hotel Ciudad de Burgos and head off towards the Mountain Range passing by Atapuerca, an imporatant prehistoric dig site and the famous pilgrim route camino de Santiago.

We will arrive in Barbadillo de Herreros, a palce notable for its traditional village architecture and famous for its medieval fairs. We will then pass by Huerta de Arriba, with many houses with coats of arms, and arrive in the village of Neila. In its houses the important cattle farming past is reflected. Its link to the Real Concejo de las Mestas (a royall town council).

We will continue in our path and arrive at the park of the High Lagoons, an enclave of extraordinary natural beauty formed by lagoons of unique and distinguished characteristics.

Our next stop is Quintanar where we will taste the typical dishes of the Sierra and, before heading back to the hotel, we will stop off in Revenga, a stop of singular beauty with the town hall, hermitage and late-medieval necropolis.
